As Disney prepares to acquire key assets from 21st Century Fox that include such iconic Marvel characters as the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, fans are getting more and more excited to see how Marvel Studios handles its integration of some of Marvel Comics' most well-known and beloved heroes and villains. However, there's one big question that remains: Will the Fantastic Four or X-Men be introduced first?

Although it's hard to say for certain which of the two teams will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe first, there are a lot of reasons to think the Fantastic Four will be the first team to appear. One of the biggest reasons Marvel Studios might hold off on the X-Men is the continuing production on movies such as Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, as it's likely the studio will want to give the X-Men franchise some time to breathe before reintroducing them. Check out the video below for more reasons we think the Fantastic Four will join the MCU before the X-Men.

In 2018, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said he was expecting the rights to the Fantastic Four and X-Men back at some point in 2019, though he's been clear in the past that he doesn't have any set plans for the characters yet. According to Feige, the Disney/Fox deal will mean the return of "hundreds" of characters to which Marvel Studios previously did not have access, meaning that there are a lot of heroes and villains that could make their way to the MCU in the coming years. Some of these villains -- like Galactus or Doctor Doom -- might even serve as a worthy follow-up to Thanos in future team-up movies.
