Gal Gadot will be making her return as Wonder Woman sooner rather than later, as the actress is set to voice the character in next month's The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

Gadot is set to lend her voice to the animated character, taking over for actress Cobie Smulders, who voiced Wonder Woman in the first film. She'll be joining such DC Extended Universe actors as Margot Robbie and Jason Momoa, who will be voicing Harley Quinn and Aquaman, respectively.

The decision to bring in Gadot to voice the character shouldn't be too surprising. Wonder Woman was both critically and financially successful, going on to earn an astounding $821.8 million at the worldwide box office. It's of note that The Lego Movie released before Gadot made her debut as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so she was not as closely associated with Wonder Woman at the time of the first animated film's release.

Other DC heroes set to appear in the film are Batman, Superman and Green Lantern, as well as Cyborg and The Flash. Will Arnett is returning to voice Batman, while Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will reprise their roles as Superman and Green Lantern, respectively. As for Cyborg and The Flash, however, the voice actors have not yet been confirmed, so it remains to be seen if their DCEU actors -- Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller -- will be lending their voices to the animated characters.

Directed by Mike Mitchel, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part reunites Chris Pratt as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Lucy (aka Wyldstyle), Will Arnett as Batman, Nick Offerman as Metal Beard and Alison Brie as Unikitty. They're joined by Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa-Nab, Stephanie Beatriz as Sweet Mayhem and Arturo Castro as Ice Cream Cone. The film opens on February 8.
