Story-driven horror title, Transference, gets a release date.

Ubisoft and SpectreVision have announced that their story-based horror game Transference is coming to virtual reality, PC, and console on September 18.

Players can get a peek at the game before launch with The Walter Test Case Demo, which acts as a prequel to the main game.

Set several years prior to the events of Transference, the demo will let you “enter the experiment that laid the foundation for the events that followed.”

Transference was announced at E3 2018, and follows a scientist who uploads a digital simulation of his family onto a computer network, that then goes horribly wrong, leaving the player character trapped in the network with them.

Transference: The Walter Test Case Demo will have players “explore the mind of a troubled test subject suffering from PTSD,” solving puzzles to repair his scrambled memories.

The demo lets players switch between “multiple perspectives” and is available in VR and non-VR.

Transference launches on September 18 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and will support PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.
